The author of the text is Vatsyayana. The full title of this work is “Vatsyayana Kama Sutra” (“The Instruction on Kams belonging to Vatsyayane”). It is believed that the author lived in the 3rd — 4th centuries AD e., probably in the Kushan kingdom
